We would love to keep in touch by sharing the things that you have been doing at home. Please feel free to email your child’s class teacher with pictures or videos of anything that you are happy to share with your wider St James Hatcham Family. It could be anything from your favourite recipe or a photo of you reading together, singing, praying, looking outside off a window etc. etc. So get sharing!
Here is a reminder of the class teacher emails:
Team 6 Mrs Matthews – email@example.com
Team 5 Ms Omoboni and Ms Nakonieczna – firstname.lastname@example.org
Ms Omoboni would like to congratulate these children for completing reading comprehensions online – 1 completed: Adam, Jeremiah & Habib, 2 completed: Chioma, Treasure, Yasmin & Ronique, 3 completed: David, Richard, Edsay & Elkanah and AN AMAZING 5 COMPLETED: Deborah, Alex, Naledi & Reabb! I’m so very proud of you all and am getting round to marking each and every one so please check in for your personal feedback over the next few days. I’ll be checking often so if you complete them all, I’m happy to assign more passages! Please do email me if you wish to reply to my feedback or want to discuss if you think the passages I gave you are too tricky (or too easy although your results will help me know this). Don’t forget – all learning is valid and make sure you’re doing a wide range of fun and educational activities while you’re isolating at home. Send me emails to let me know of anything fantastic you’re doing from building blanket forts to exercise and dance routines all the way through to the reading passages!
Meanwhile – if you’re bored, have finished your home learning packs and are looking for more learning to complete, open the document next to the ‘Bored Button’ below.
Team 4 Miss Mehta – email@example.com
I would like to send a huge hug and high five to all the students in Maple team 4. It is incredible to see how much hard work you are doing and all the wonderful learning that is happening at home. The ReadWorks website has been a huge success and now has a personal Reading Quiz and Library section open! You can read anything you want in the library so go and choose your favorite topic! I am also celebrating all the students who have read 10 000 words! Wow! What an accomplishment! And the rest of you are well on your way!
Remember to check the Team 4 blog which will be updated regularly. This will include a mixture of reading, writing, mathematics, arts and crafts and other activities to keep you busy during your time. The links to game and videos are fun, but still help you with your learning! As I have spoke to most of you this week I will start adding pictures and videos of all the amazing things you are doing at home: dancing, singing, cooking, even trampolining! You can go to the Year 4 blog directly by clicking HERE! Keep emailing me, I love to hear from you and I will continue to share often
Let’s all stay safe and positive! We will be together very soon!
Hello Team 3 families! We really do hope you are all keeping safe and smiley during these very strange times! We are missing you all so much – it feels very weird not being able to see your happy faces every morning!
It is great to hear all about the fantastic learning that has been going on at home and how well you have adjusted to a new routine. We are so impressed with the results from ReadWorks, well done! Don’t forget to share your learning with us and we will be uploading pictures to our class page throughout the week.
Below are two scavenger hunts that you can do indoors. Please remember that whatever you get out, you must put away!
