We are delighted to announce the official opening of our brand-new Acorns Nursery on Monday 7th September 2026 at 12.30pm.

This marks an exciting new chapter for St James Hatcham as, for the first time, we are extending our nursery provision to welcome children from the age of two.

Vicky Foxcroft MP will join us to officially open Acorns and unveil a special plaque in memory of our much-loved former Chair of Governors, Malcolm Edwards CBE, whose family will also be joining us for this very special occasion.

Malcolm dedicated 50 years of service to St James Hatcham and was instrumental in establishing the Governors’ Trust Fund, which, alongside our grant funding, has helped us complete and enhance this wonderful new provision.

We would love our families, former pupils, friends, neighbours and members of the wider community to join us as we celebrate this momentous occasion.
