Local MP Vicky Foxcroft visits!

I am filled with pride at the way our children conducted themselves when the MP Vicky Foxcroft visited our school on Friday. 😊 They were bold with their questions starting with Zachariah in our Early Years class who asked with confidence and a voice so clear and so loud, all could hear him, “What is your favourite part about being an MP?” 🥰

Vicky (as she prefers to be known) was really impressed with the quality of questions the children asked and was particularly impressed with our Year 6 question, “ What inspired you to become an MP and what advice would you give to young people like us who want to change the world?”

The question that surprised her though was from Year 3, Oak Class…” Why did you resign from being the government whip in June 2025?”

Vicky said that our children were remarkable and that she knows some of our children will be future parliamentarians fighting for equality and issues like good quality housing for all and fair funding for schools.

A special thanks to the wonderful Aiyanna and Romeo for greeting Vicky Foxcroft and taking charge of proceedings including helping to lead the assembly - they are rightly proud of themselves! 😊

No mattter how hard life gets let us never forget God’s blessings of our talented beautiful children! We know that they will continue to make us proud now and in their futures. 👏🏾
