Year 3's visit to Hampstead Heath

As part of Year 3's topic, The Stone Age, Year 3 visited Hampstead Heath Education Centre to take part in a Stone Age experience workshop.

The workshop consisted of exploring the local woodland area in search of a safe space to create a Stone Age shelter using natural resources. Acting as Stone Age survivors, children also had the opportunity to light their own fires using flint (a key material used in the Stone Age for various tools). 

Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed this experience as a taster of what life would be like for them if they lived during this time period!
