St James Hatcham

Pupil Leadership

Pupil Leadership

Pupil Voice plays an integral role at St James Hatcham, and positions of leadership enable our pupils to take the opportunity to influence and understand the decisions that impact their school life.

No decision about us, without us!

Through our dedicated Rights Respecting Group, pupils are encouraged to speak for themselves and advocate on behalf of others, to co-operate and to compromise; skills that we firmly believe put every child in good stead for their future.

Congratulations to the members of the St James Hatcham Rights Respecting School Council 2025 - 2026!

Jacob, Halle-Shanae, Martins-Joe, Zina, Amirah, Charis, Chimadika, Romeo, and Aiyana!

We expect that all pupils will demonstrate leadership while they live out our school values in their day to day school lives and, in addition, pupils are inspired to assume specific leadership roles and positions that develop their skills further through a range of responsibilities and roles, including:

  • Learning Champions
  • Playground Ambassadors
  • Music Leaders
  • Sports Leaders
  • Eco-Warriors
  • Faith Group Ambassadors (below)

Congratulations to the new Faith Group Ambassadors at St James Hatcham 2025 - 2026!

Lennox, Zayah, Aiyana, Erioluwa, Zachery, Shardae, Romeo, Aaliyah, Gabriella and Priscilla!
