Applying for a place in Reception
If your child’s date of birth falls between 1st September 2016 and 31st August 2017 you can apply for a Reception place for September 2021
Applications for Reception Class will need to be made online; no paper forms will be available. Applications should be made through the Lewisham Admissions website: Link to Lewisham applying schools form.
If you do not have access to the internet at home, you can apply online at any One Stop Shop or in any of the local libraries.

Please note that children attending the Nursery Class at St James Hatcham School cannot be guaranteed places in the Reception Class and parents will need to apply separately for such a place.

Applying for a secondary school place
If your child is currently in Year 6 you will need to apply for a secondary school place.
Once again this year admissions for Year 6 will need to be made online; no paper forms will be available. Applications should be made through the Lewisham website. If you are not a Lewisham resident, please apply through your own borough.
The Starting School in Lewisham brochure will also only be available online this year. This publication will give you information on all schools in Lewisham including their admissions criteria.

Joining St James Hatcham School Year 1-Year 6
Parents who wish their child to join St James Hatcham School at any time other than the normal stages (into Nursery or Reception class) will need to contact Lewisham Council. All applications are dependent on whether there is a place in that year group.
Applications are welcome from residents as well as those living outside the borough. Applications for a place must be made on the In-year common application form (i-CAF) below.
